Oh man I cringed when I read this part. Let's hope it doesn't stay that way.

Within a few months, the rubble will be cleared and the area will be paved as a temporary parking lot until New Haven embarks on its next development.

I hear you. "Temporary parking lot" famous last words in these parts....

I thought for sure Gateway Community College was going to be consolidatings its two campuses to one downtown and the Long Wharf Theater was going to build a new theater in that whole huge parcel that includes the former Macy's and the Coliseum site.....

If these two things happen I think thats great...New Haven can follow in the steps of Hartford and gets its community college downtown which adds to the already enourmous number of students in downtown New Haven already. Also New Haven is a city of the arts and having one of its top rated theaters downtown is a must
