Ozark School board to ask votes for $9.5 Million

Recommended Posts

Ozarkers,

The Ozark School Board on Thursday voted to place a nearly $9.5 million bond issue on the April ballot for a multi-purpose activities complex, four elementary classrooms and renovation of the district's early childhood building.

"This is a no-tax increase," Superintendent Gordon Pace said, adding that the school district has a $9.5 million bonding capacity.

The cost for the work is closer to $8 million.

"We probably need to set aside $1 million for additional land," Pace said. "Just because they vote $9.5 million, we don't have to use $9.5 million. This is just the limit you can go."

I guess I can say wow, Ozark's gettin growin faster than I expected... Ozark is in Christian County.
