Town Decides to Wait on Purchasing Robin Rug Complex [12/29/06 ProJo]

A Town Council commission was formed to look at purchasing the complex, but its members balked at the $19.9-million asking price. Roger Williams University considered making a bid, but the school also lost interest. The Urban Land Institute, a respected international planning group, visited town, primarily to see the complex, and then issued a report emphasizing the importance of redeveloping the 2.1-acre site
