Hwy 321

What is the status of 321 widening from the bottom of the mountian through Blowing Rock?

Last time I was on the road they had cut away a large portion of the mountain side and were filling in on the opposite side right where you really start to go up hill and it narrows from 4 lanes to 2 lanes. There was other work scattered in other locations along the way. If any one has pictures, that would be awesome.

Not sure about the mountain-climb portion, but I think a group of citizens was proposing to sue NC DOT over the plans for the road through town.
