Chattanooga Corridor K..

Come on, people with wealth are moving into natural areas and building houses and bringing other economic opportunities with their wealth. Who does not imagine a cabin close to the Wilderness. People are clamoring to get there to try to hang onto the last vestiges of our natural world. I can see a day when Polk County schools will have students whose Mothers and Fathers have Medical degrees and PhD parents who have the money to have second homes in Polk County and the intellectual environment in Polk County Schools will be vaulted forward and their will be no disenfranchisement. Let's get on board with that which is already underway. We need to quit dreaming of something new for Polk County, it is already happening! Please let's put the multi millions of dollars of Tennessee tax money into some new schools in Polk County and get our priorities going in the right direction and let it happen naturally without devastating a National Forest and Wilderness Preserve.

^ I agree. Some infrastructure developments, such as roads and rail, are a necessity of bettering the ability of counties like Polk to prosper in a way that directly benefit locals. The goal has to minimize and off-set any impact new roads create. TDOT is mandated to do that and does a good job of doing so IMO.
