[Louisville] West Main District

Over the past few weeks, I have journeyed down to the West Main District, also known as "Museum Row" for its diverse collection of cultural centers and exhibits. It largest number of cast-iron facades outside of the Big Apple and the stunning architecture and offerings has lured me back time and time again.

As part of my American Byways project, I decided to write about it and photograph the major highlights. I have only extensively covered the Muhammad Ali Center (with the blessings of Zhalda Penn!) and the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft. You can view my initial introduction and writeup of the Ali Center here. I have also uploaded all photographs associated with both.

In the future, I will be photographing the district itself and be visiting other museums, such as the Louisville Science Center and the Glassworks! Stay tuned!
