Tourism in Columbus

Who has been to Columbus and what was your opinion? If you haven't been, what have you heard about the city?

I was there in November/December. I thought it was a nice city, but not much going on in the downtown. Didn't see the resteraunt, bar, and shopping scene typical of "tourist towns". But I do like the growth occuring and I have already purchased 7 homes in Phenix City and am looking a duplexes in Columbus for investment reasons.
