^ the commercial that you linked is one of the commercials that was submitted by an average joe, rather than a multi-million dollar ad agency. i agree that it's pretty good and doritos was wise in their savings.

overall, the commercials were pretty dang weak.... but, i tell you what - PRINCE's halftime show was AMAZING. we watched it again after the game.... WOW.

I didn't really care for most of the commercials.....I did enjoy the Bud Light "hitchhiker" commercial though.

Cinco, you made me think of any interesting scenario......since the indepedent commercial from an "amateur" was a big hit, do you think that in the future that the economy will be a collection of subcontractors competing? Using Doritos as an example. Could they also ask people to submit spices for new flavors? We lve in a world where people have greatly higher amounts of knowledge than in the past. Will non-specialists become increasingly used to lower expenses and what will this do to the national economy?

That was a good one too.

My favorite was the stray dog that got splashed with mud and became a dalmatian. I don't remember what company it was though.

Anyone else notice how companies you rarely see advertised on TV all of a sudden appearing during the Super Bowl? As if they blew their entire yearly advertising budget on one :30 spot. Van Heusen is one that comes to mind.
