Salt City Hoods: The City's East End - MEGA THREAD

This area is located just east of downtown Salt Lake City. It's mostly home to small shops, apartment buildings and churches. I decided to park my car at around 300 East and 400 South and walk around the area.

So yea. To make things a bit more fun, count the shopping carts!

We start off at one of MANY churches in the area. This was once the Salt Lake City Synagogue, but it's now home to another church, not sure what religion.

300 East apartments. They're blue.

I cut through the back of the apartments through an alleyway and headed toward 400 East. This is a big parking area behind the buildings.

Part of downtown - gives ya an idea of how far east we are from the area.

An older church, now a business.

Not exactly sure if this is apartments or what.

300 South homes.

Another church that is now a business.

An apartment complex....

300 South and 300 East.

More apartments.

Downtown yet again.

Yet another apartment. This one was used as the apartment in Dumb 'N' Dumber.

Isn't it funny how that rich beotch Elizabeth Smart goes missing and it's on every freakin' TV in the world; yet I've never heard about this girl. Have you?

Even MORE? But wait, I thought SLC wasn't urban - that they only had SPRAWL.

This is just gettin sick - apartments every which way!

Yikes.....this is unreal.

Thanks for the tour, Sean! I can never get over how dense SLC is...there are so many apartment buildings there.

Yeah, the winter there does not seem to be as long as the winter here. It still seems to be rather harsh, however.

Actually Salt Lake City can get pretty sunny. The city averages 237 sunny days a year and once outside February has a pretty nice, warm climate.
