Maybe you could consider videotaping the meetings and broadcast it on Youtube.com to create a greater buzz! People around the country can see what great things are in the works in PVD!

I just posted the announcement on our website.

http://www.gcpvd.org/2007/06/08/next-gcexc...ting-june-12th/

I'm getting a bunch of RSVP's from the email GENS sent out, so it should be a good crowd and an interesting discussion.

We're also working on getting a graffiti initiative started and the city has asked us to host a clean up in July, so we'll be discussing that a bit too. We probably won't have the where and when on the clean up nailed down next week, but if anyone is interested in helping out, let me know.

The next Greater City: Exchange meeting is next Tuesday, June 12th. We’ll be meeting at 5:30pm at Ada’s Creations 1137 Broad Street in Elmwood on the city’s South Side.

RIPTA: Route 11

Our special guests will be Greater Elmwood Neighborhood Services.

Discussion topics will include:

  • What role do the neighborhoods play in urban revitalization?

  • How can we ensure equitable investment in all areas of the city?

  • How do we promote the best quality development in our low-income neighborhoods?

  • What does sustainability mean for our low-income neighborhoods?

  • What are the largest unmet community development needs in the greater Elmwood area?

  • What are some of the barriers to address in neighborhood development work?

  • What are Greater Elmwood Neighborhood Services and our partner organizations doing to build stronger neighborhoods?

We look forward to a good discussion and hope to see you there!
