Kanvas Art Gallery is now coming to life at the bottom of Court 6 on the corner of 6th and Davidson.

They have been working on the upfit of the space for a couple weeks and I just happened to notice it the other day while passing by.

I checked the Building Permit and sure enough it was issued in October 2010. No word on when the space will open but will be good to see some life injected into this part of First Ward.

Kanvas is going to be an Art Gallery + Ber + Restaurant. I walked by last night and the upfit is pretty much done...they have some of the furniture already there and some of the artwork is ready to be hung. Looks like it could open up in a couple of weeks. Will be a nice addition to the neighborhood.
