I really like the street grid in downtown. It really makes the area feel a lot denser than it really is at street level. Great pics!

Yeah, I like the street grid too. It's certainly unique! Here is the original plan for the downtown area:

Unfortunately it never got fully realized. But it resulted in one of the most interesting street layouts in the country. Detroit...the Paris of the Midwest.
