Milan (Gibson Co) lands new manufacturer - Alliance Tech. Group

Milan, TN landed a new manfacturer it was announced in the Jackson Sun today. Alliance Technology Group (ATG) a manufacturer of waste containers, storage containers, and specialty trailers has signed to take on an existing facility (a former Foamex facility) and start operations in March with about 15-20 people, with perhaps 75 by years end. The final employment total could be near 200.

The former Foamex plant emplyee around 170-180 before it finally closed in 2003, so if this plant reached 200 jobs the facility will actually net jobs for the city of Milan, which is a very good development, esp. in the wake of the loss of Tower Automotive last year and over 200 jobs.
