I've actually read that a majority of scientists disagree with the "consensus" view on global warming. I buy into the 1500 year cycle theory. Why else are other planets experiencing warming? I know WorldNetDaily isn't a 100% reliable source, but I just love the caption.

Meanwhile, our fearless crusaders against global warming have no problem living in lavish estates and flying in private jets.

I think this global warming "consensus" nonsense is just one big lie.

All:

What I'm trying to say is that in the 70s Time had on its cover the earth with snow on it and it was titled 'The Coming Ice Age.' Now it is 'Global Warming'. Now, I am trying to get info on both sides to see what the deal is. I know I'm not going to agree until I get all my reading done on it.

MadVlad, I still think that we need to research it. If it is warming -- Richard Bronson is going to give away some $$$ if you can find a way to reduce GLOBAL WARMING for him -- a local talk show host here said stop flying Virgin Air. :) However, I am serious on it -- and yes, I want the earth like it is. (I am not sure if the people of UPSTATE NY like 7' of snow, thou!)

Yet again people are missing the point about Global Warming. The planets have and always will go through climate change BUT the speed and general increases we are experiencing is not normal and has never happened before. Scientists are all in agreement that the upward spike in temperatures are being caused by too much CO2 in the air. We as humans contribute a large amount of that CO2 so yet again there is no argument. Would we be experiencing some form of warming even if there were no humans? Of course we would but not at this alarming rate. Everyone could stand to read up on the facts instead of typing things into google. Often times the "skeptics" are people who are too lazy to change the way they live. "Freedom" is always used as an excuse to ruin the environment for others. If I can't smoke inside because it "bothers" people then there should be greater regulation on emissions and people who own 2 minivans and a Shevy Tahoe for a family of 3.

BTW: this article is syndicated from the Washington Post and is being discussed here already. It was written from two gentleman from the Reason Foundation, a Libertarian think tank (obviously far outside the realm of non-partisan).
