Saw this this morning. I remember seeing that they had approved this mine a few months ago, but I didn't know that they had already started work on it:

I'll admit that Safford, although small, is a pretty nice town. The Downtown section has remained reasonably healthy, the streets are quiet and yards well-kept, and it's still one of those true small towns, where Metro Arizona has yet to reach.
