The Midway Cos. is set to begin work on CityCentre, a ten acre urban style mixed-use project that will replace the former Town & Country Mall. The $500 million project at I-10 and Beltway 8 will be made up of buildings ranging between 2 and ten stories in height that will be centered around an one acre plaza. It will consist of residential, office, hotel, retail, restaurant, and entertainment uses and will be opening in phases over 2008 and 2009.

Some features of the project include:

665 residential units

  • 375 apartments

  • 250 urban lofts

  • 40 brownstones

    Hotel Valencia - 217 rooms with 16 condos

    Studio Movie Grill - 9-screen movie theater with dining during shows

    Lifetime Athletic - 3-story, 140,000 sf fitness center

    Retail - 400,000 sf including

    • Sur La Table

    • Sunglass Hut

    • Papyrus

    • Lucy

    Restaurants:
