Chattanooga does have the AA Lookouts (part of the Reds farm system). As far as a major league baseketball or football team goes, I don't think Chattanooga ever see that. Nashville and Atlanta are too close, BTW The Chattanooga metro is just about 500K right now. Population alone is not the only determining factor...Memphis is still waiting for a major league team to come and actually stay awhile.

Chattanooga would have to at least triple it's population to have any chance at all of landing a major league sports team. Personally, I hope the city never gets that big. Besides the are 2 NHL teams, 2 NFL teams, a MLB team and an NBA team all located within 2 hours of Chattanooga.
