Looking back, I could only find one topping out guess and it was July 4th by @ricky_davis_fan_21. Not bad at all, sir

Ally reminds me of Winston Tower just a bit, especially on the Tryon/Stonewall corner. Ally is 30' shorter and 54 years younger.

So this is interesting. Seems we were way off with thought on this tower. Its actually 427' tall. Good for #15 on the list. I don't know where we got the 389'

One more from today. From this angle, it looks like the elevator shaft is taller than the bracketing for the decorative top. Will that be the case upon completion? 

Another random thought - would Legacy Union look better if all the beige was actually silver to make the pyramid on top?

I have rolled back into town back to work drive bys of Tryon Place today.    Last photo shows the gravel lot next to Legacy that I say what I think were the Honeywell NJ tagged people as someone suggested.   This a primo temporary great tailgating spot.

Whats the official height for this building, it says 427' on Wikipedia but I would be surprised if that's accurate.

A couple of photos of the top hat today, taken from Stonewall Station.  I see the American flag flying from the elevator shaft, so we’re topped out now, I guess! 

I also spy the brackets for the Ally logo.   I’m giving y’all a bonus: my artistic attempt at the Ally logo using iPhone editing.  Better than a third grader?  Debatable! lol

Word on the street is they are raising the Ally sign tonight to test and see colors.  Supposedly at night it can come out more magenta than they like.  I don’t live downtown or I’d grab some pictures.   It will come down after they look at it.  More info from  The hairdresser of the ceo’s Wife

I spy a pink "a" on the top floor from the construction cam.  This was from roughly 9PM last night.

Anyone else notice that they appear to have installed a different (green) shade of glass here? At first I thought it was just the light, but it stays green in all lighting conditions.
