Ally Charlotte Center (f/k/a Tryon Place) - 26 floors - 427'

I am not sure I would call this a park as the trees are required along the street I am pretty sure.  Since there is no retail I would suggest Crescent build a fenced in dog park and lease it to the city for $1 a year.   So many apartments uptown and no dog parks to speak of in the central core.  And Crescent built 450+ apartments a block away.

interesting the press releases originates from Charlotte as that honor is usually for the Headquarters city of such a company.   Both the investors and media contacts are in Charlotte too.   I thought this company was based in Detroit??   This reminds me of a certain glazed doughnut maker.

Hey @tarhoosier and @KJHburg  -  LOL! been gathering photos on foot, knees, dodging construction workers with whistles, sliding around on my rear end down a couple of hills along the Norfolk-Southern rail line, and fighting intense vertigo at the LU garage overlooking the Honeywell construction site.  It's all been fun - and ALL of the credit goes to @KJHburg - The KJ - a great photographer and artist, friend and inspiring mentor.   My winter sojourn in Charlotte ends in a few more weeks and then it's back home to the "ice patch" known as Cambridge, MA, so no more photos after the end of March.  Charlotte is such a a beautiful & dynamic city - truly the Next Great American City.   What a lovely city and a wonderful place to call home!

A security guard told me that this is an original CSX rail spur that was found & preserved during construction of the LU garage.

Photos today and the hotel is now peaking up on the skyline I noticed from different points.  walk and drive bys but when are you moving in a car as slow as walking the result is the same LOL.

Happened to just catch this today from my office: this is how they're moving the floor platforms from level to level. They attach the crane to the platform below the floor they've just poured and then swing it out and up onto the next level. Pretty amazing stuff.

Did you see them bouncing the one off the rebar about twenty times? That was intense to watch. I think it was on Wednesday

No, but I’m surprised they aren’t constantly bouncing things around more. Those crane operators have real skill, man.

I don’t think the JW has its own thread? Anyhow it’s peeking up over the top now. 
Multiple cranes (8 total) in immediate vicinity constructing at least 4 different buildings (not counting Honeywell HQ, out of frame to the right). Pretty neat.
