Well it was just the structure that was prefab, nothing else was. It was definitely a coordination fail though. The architect that was over the project was pretty green and a more senior architect that could better pull all the teams together didn't step in until the project was very far along.

WBTV News gives Ally a regular feature on their news backdrop. They have several shots they use and this is one. BofA is so small as to be unrecognizable without prior knowledge of the logo.

Agree! Even with the pictures previously posted, the crown adds so much color to the skyline at night, it really does feel needed. Hopefully they’ll begin lighting it up again.

Last I heard they're still planning on having the crown lit.

The tree honestly looks like it is not doing too well. I know that it is getting cold but at the same time it just looks to be not too hydrated.

Crown? That’s ally’s fenced back yard…or is it up yard? High yard? But you’re right, the facade looks great. Missed opportunities with the crown and the deck but I think it’s been one of the best at place-making out of recently completed projects.

Great pics as always!  Looking at that last Ally pic, I really hope the new LU tower being built on the corner has plenty of retail.  The two developments could really feed off of each other and create a pretty cool area.  Here's to hoping the next LU tower at this corner has Ally's kind of ground-level retail vs giant lobby.

I'm sorry, but how in the hell is that considered a deck screening? I'm not saying I hate this or anything, but I am pretty annoyed that this piss poor attempt is what we ended up with.

The deck "screening" is a complete joke and not a good joke.  In the beginning I thought the vertical bars they erected on the side of the deck were the support system for the actual screening, haha.  Just a huge prison-like wall that will always be visible from 277.

When someone ultimately tears down that deck to build a more permanent and useful building, you'll be happy.

Are you able to elaborate at all? Are you saying that this deck was built with the intention of it being a temporary structure so that a third tower could be constructed on this land?
