What’s the difference between the Grille version and Double eagle on Piedmont row? Description on their websites sound like the grille is upscale as well. A quick glance at the atl grille, it appears the menu is a little friendlier on the wallet though.

Double Eagle Del Friscos is their high end steak house and this grille version from what I have seen is more variety in the menu and not quite as expensive.  Appeals to more people I think.  I would check out their Atlanta menu of their Buckhead location

I still think Lincoln Harris should work with Landry Group who owns this restaurant and many others and get that Dos Caminos the Mexican place and I think they would be more successful in the bottom of the Deloitte tower.

Petition for them to open a Rainforest Cafe or Bubba Gump instead to really help us stand out :D

walked the block around the Ally Center they are still upfitting the Museum of Illusions and I must say I like the landscaping of this block.   Some of the best flowers outside in uptown.  Live oak looking better and better.   did not see any activity on the Del Frisco Grille spot which is opposite the live oak and Golden Cow.

Oh good, maybe they're rethinking Del Frisco Grill for Dos Caminos

@SydneyCarton has come to town from Ivy towers of Chapel Hill LOL  great photos.  and yes the Ally Bank Center has some of the best landscaping of any uptown tower.

The funny thing is that I come to Uptown from Chapel Hill about as often as I did when I lived near Blakeney before moving to Myers Park.

Anyway, my heart is in Charlotte, my first home in NC and where I will eventually return.

Peaked in the Museum of Illusions at the paint stage now and not sure how long it takes to install the illusions but should open within a few months.  No work yet on the Del Frisco grille spot by the live oak.    Live oak looks good and I checked for new leaves and I saw some.   Today.

The Illusion museum is already looking rough. Many of the installations are in poor condition (they all take a beating with the barrage of children who control the space on any given day). I took three kids to experience it last month, and while they had a good time, it's definitely a "once is enough" kind of place, as the exhibits don't change. It ain't cheap, either.

Kinda sounds like how Wonderworks (the upside down building on International Drive in Orlando).  Really cool concept and interactive stuff, but a lot of these hands on museum places don't do the required maintenance and upkeep.  You pay decent money to enter but end up underwhelmed at the state of the place.

Talked to a security guard outside of Ally today and they confirmed that it was the Mexican concept going in not the Del Fris. Also confirmed the last vacant spot was the vegan joint.

owned by the same company but here it is . Only in NYC and here it is quite good according to my Brooklyn sources.
