Mini-farmers market proposed for downtown

The market would be open from July to September, Wednesday or Thursday, on the south side of West Fairfax Street. The Farmers Market at Berkley Spgs. began in 2001 with 3 vendors and now has 18. It has also grown from a 14-week season to one operating half-year. The new market is slated for opening on April 29.
