Not at all, my friend. It's just hit a bump in the road. Just look at the New Orleand forum, it was the only thing going for the Louisiana forum at one point, then it went practically nowhere for awhile, and now, it's very healthy again. My advice, just post like usual, and people will come back around.

SBC,

Have you heard anything about a restaurant being built in the parking lot of the Centurytel call center?

A friend of my wife's, who works with her at Alltel, said that he saw a sign saying Moe's Southwest Grill was coming soon.

I find it hard to believe that their second location around here would be in a call center parking lot, let alone one with such horrible access.

Maybe they are thinking that it will locate at the site they are preparing right now, the one fronting I-49 at Bert Kouns, next to the Gastro Center.

Have you heard anything on this?

SBC,

My source at the Alltel call center was sure that he saw one in the parking lot for the Centurytel call center.

He may be mistaken but it would be nice to see something else in that shopping center other than a call center, glass place and Harbor Freight.

Thanks for looking,

Mudbugger

PS

Did you notice that the old Kevins Korner at Kingston and Bert Kouns is now going to be an Ivey's Carpet and Interiors?

Interesting isn't it?

SBC,

I have news regarding the structure going up in front of the Centurytel Call Center.

A friend of mine is training to be an Assistant Manager at the company that will locate there, there name?

Wait for it, wait for it!

Starbucks.

You heard me right, Starbucks coffee will be in the parking lot for the Centurytel Call Center.

I know that the contractor is scheduled to hand the building over to Starbucks at the end of June/early July.

They do all the interior work themselves and the store has a tentative opening timeframe of August/September.

I can hear all of the call center employees up and down Bert Kouns screaming with joy.

Not to mention all the doctors offices and hospital workers as well.

Just thought you would like to know about this turn of events.

YAS!

Yet Another Starbucks... ;)

So many people hate 'em, but I personally love them. How many will that make for our area now? The one downtown in the Hilton hasn't oepned yet either, and the newest one on Airline Drive opened just a few months ago. Now there are three in Bossier, I believe: Airline Drive @ I-20, Airline Drive @ I-220, and inside the Albertson's on E. Texas just down from Airline Drive.

Are there any others in Bossier?

Shreveport... let's see... Pines Road... Bert Kouns (as announced by you)... Youree Drive (1 store location and 2 kiosks)... downtown... am I missing any? Oh yeah... Line Avenue... any more I'm missing?

SBC,

My friend who is in training for the AM job at a Starbucks has told me that corporate is in negotiations to open a location at....

wait for it, wait for it....

Horseshoe Casino and Hotel.

It would be the first 24 hour location in the area and i am betting (he he) that it would make a killing.

My friend has more experience locally with Starbucks than even her district manager.

She ran the cafe at Barnes and Noble and has 7 years experience running Starbucks so her manager with 5 years actually can be considered her underling.

Just thought you might like to know this too.
