Professional Arena Football Team Coming to Springfield

The Springfield Wolfpack

Football fans who long for that sport's presence in the "offseason" will have a new indoor professional team to support this spring and early summer. The Springfield WolfPack, one of six teams in the American Professional Football League, will play its home games at Jordan Valley Ice Park, officials with the league, ice park and Springfield-Greene County Park Board announced Wednesday.

The Springfield Rifles, a semi-pro indoor football team, played in the Springfield area from 1999-2005. The WolfPack has one commodity the Rifles did not when the team folded in 2006

I would like to see Springfield get Arena Football team,Developmental League Basketball team,a Soccer Team and a Minor League Hockey team again. Maybe Pro team to.

This league doesn't even have a team in Columbia or Jolpin,Mo yet.
