Port Authority considers ways to save money

Looks like they are thinking about some other ways to save money, such as cutting out some perks in the pension plans, moving back to the old headquarters, etc.

I am extremely glad to see this. This is the type of thing they should look into before cutting routes and raising fares.

yeah... why didn't they think of doing these things BEFORE devising a plan to cripple transit in Pittsburgh?

though these changes won't come close to covering the 80 million dollar shortfall... at least curtailing wasteful spending might gain favor with the state government for future funding requests...
