Maybe we could use that corner to build something equivalent to Seattle's Sky Needle or the CN tower in Toronto. Just a really tall structure with a cool observation deck at the top. Maybe we could do it in the shape of a cigarette, just to piss off the maximum number of people. Can't you just see the very stop of that glowing red at night?

Is there any news about the 8th/9th/Cary/Canal skyscraper? I believe the Charrette refers to it as The Gateway Building, so maybe they know more than we think..

The Charrette is just recognizing what we all already know about the parcel... it is ideal for a signature structure. I think things are still moving forward. Hopefully they'll say something publicly soon!

Now burt that would be a great name for a Hotel for the Triangle lot. My cousin refers the Triangle Lot as the Piano Lot.

Oh I hope something is going on coupe I really do because its scaring me. I really hope someone was serious with there ideas. I hope a developer is working on plans right now that we dont know about. We need someone like Ryan or SupMeUp from RCW to give us info on this.

What make one think a hotel could work there? Considering the "Hilton" could not get done as an exclusive hotel. To get the loan package approved, even with the Hilton name, they had to dilute the hotel down and add apts/condos, to get the bank to agree. In Richmond, hotels are extremely difficult to get the proforma to show enough return to satisfy lenders.

This is one of my favorite towers by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners! Torre Espacio!! I would love something similar to this to go at the end of the Manchester Bridge!
