I blew it up. There is a hard edge on the bottom, and a hard edge to the right side of the object. A real object would have softer edging. I don't know what caused it, but I don't think it is an image of something thast was there.

Sensor dust typically only shows up against a sky when using a small aperture (f/16 for example) so that focus is on infinity.

Agreed. Do more tests. And even in photos that don't show sensor dust, with a larger aperture and focused on the sky, you can often see the sensor dust in Photoshop by adjusting curves. I've brought it out many times just so I could see exactly where it was when I used a larger aperture opening.

Once sensor dust is ruled out, consider the possibility that a piece of dirt plopped down on the end of your lens and then went away at the slightest movement, hence it not showing up in more photos.

I like to believe in extraterrestrial life, and have had my own personal experience seeing an unknown disc-shaped craft, but I still have to go back to the "beyond a reasonable doubt" rationale.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sold on extraterrestrials, but this was the first time I have gotten a picture like this one and I take lots of pictures. It's not clear or big enough to ever be sure of what it is.

thats good.....scientist have seen for years that the terrain looks like Mars once had rivers. We know there is water on the planet in the form of ice on the polar caps.

Helium 3 would be used as fuel for fusion propulsion system in future transportation vehicles and in particularly space craft. Scientist say that the government may evetually set up a base there and have a mining operation for helium 3.......what I thought was interesting is that back in the 70s some of the former NASA personel said the government had discovered an ancient extraterestrial base on the back side of the moon during the Apollo missions and some kind of mining operation had been going on there.

Here is some info about the "Hollow moon" theory. Scientist say that no natural body such as a moon can be hollow and if it is hollow, its artificial. Scientist show clues that the moon could be hollow. There are some pretty interetesing facts there. something to think about. Rocks from the moon also indicate that the age of the moon is much older than the Earth and our solar system which would mean the moon is a foreign object. That's interesting for sure. I watched a program about the Moon on History channel that gives the theory that the Moon is actually a runaway planet that collided with Earth, and then was caught up in the Earths gravitational pull. They said that we can measure the distance of the Moon from Earth from a device placed during the Moon landing. The Moon is moving away from the Earth about 1 inch per year, if I remember correctly.

This theory that the Moon is actually some artificial base, placed there from some alien race is a stretch to say the least. However, I don't discount it all together. We have very little understanding of what space and time really is. If you have ever heard of the string theory or black matter, you know what I mean. It seems the more science answers its own questions, the more they realize how little they know. I'm lost when it comes to the string theory, but black matter is something entirely different. There is some force that keeps planets, stars and solar systems in their orbits that gravity does not explain. So basically, black matter is just a name given to something that hasn't been discovered yet.

With all these questions that need to be answered, why couldn't we have extraterrestrials visiting this planet from some far off galaxy. We have only existed for a small fraction of time, who

another radio ham operator picked this audio up on a secret NASA channel during the Discovery mission in 1989. the astronaut says "Houston This is Discovery...we still have the alien space craft under observance" At first NASA said it wasnt their astronauts. Then they finally admitted that it was but said it was a joke. First of all why lie about that in the first place? Then the tone of his voice doesnt sound like a joke to me.

I don't think NASA would use the word "alien space craft" to describe something like that. It sounds pretty amateurish for a highly-trained, super-qualified scientist who is skilled enough to fly a mammoth piece of cutting-edge technology out of our own atomosphere ... to use the phrase "alien space craft" on official transmissions.

NASA admitted that it was one of their astronauts.....they just said the astronaut said it as a joke....the problem is it didnt sount like a joke. since it was on a secret scrambled channel though, it wasnt considered an official transmission.

Interesting video...I am interested to see what Phoenix finds. Phoenix could very well be a pivotal moment for us in history. If Phoenix finds microbes, alive or dead, in ice on Mars, this will drastically increase the validity of life on other planets and the potential for other intelligent species out there.
