The Landmark Building, Gville's tallest

That's what I was wondering. Was the SCN building the same thing as the Woodside building or was it a different one?

Was the SCN building the cube shaped building with a smaller cube on the top with the logo? Wasn't it located where the current Bowater building is next to the Reedy? When I was about 3 or 4 I ran into a "force-field" inside that building. Actually my mother was banking there and the glass doors between the main lobby and teller room were so clean I didn't see the doors and ran smack into them. I remember a bunch of people running out to see if I was ok. Ahh one of my earliest memories.

So this building was unable to be saved? It looked like a nice old building....thats too bad.

This is correct - only I remember hearing or reading that it was the tallest structure between Washinton D.C. and Atlanta. I doubt that title lasted very long though.

Wow, thats hard to believe (and a little sad too, it's not that tall)! Well, we might get the tallest in the state again one day, but i am quite certain that will never happen again.
