North Tryon Redevelopment north of 277

The City will be holding their first in a series of meetings on the Redevelopment of North Tryon St.

Tuesday March 20th

6:30pm - 8:30pm

The Extravaganza Depot

1610 N. Tryon Street (enter at rear of building)

This meeting will focus on N Tryon from Brookshire to Sugar Creek.

Please come out and share your ideas on how to make this part of the city a better place. This is your chance to make a difference.

Good point...I guess nobody went yet. One more question...does anyone have any insight as to what specific developments they might talk about during the meeting?

Are we talking about the CATS bus terminal on Trade, or the bus maintenance facility over by Davidson? If it is the terminal, it doesn't make much sense logistically to move it to Eastland Mall. How old is that facility, anyway?

The terminal is what I heard they were moving. My guess would be to move the terminal outside of uptown because of some of the people that hang around the terminal...although I don't know if that is the reason or not. I should hear something by tomorrow.

BUMP-

I've been searching for info on the status of the redevelopment of the train yards, but can't find a clear thread. Is there enough info out there to start a thread?
