A walk through Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood

These pictures show parts of the Pilsen neighborhood in Chicago. It is located on the near southwest side. Its basically bordered by Halsted/16th/Damen/Chicago River(SB). It predominantly consists of recent Mexican immigrants. I was orginially (between 1870-1950) predominantly Eastern European.

It is a lovely neighborhood with solidly built (with some deferred maintenance) Late 19th century brick houses and commercial buildings. It will be the next hot gentrified neighborhood if the locals give up on preventing it.

Sorry, the picture resolution is kinda crappy
