Wolv,

In the only rendering they ever released, you can see a tiny section of the parking garage in the background. It looks like the vertical structures are just that, because it doesn't appear anything else is going on this garage:

Why they've been keeping things so under wrap months after construction is beyond me.

I think gold reflective would be good, I am not feeling the glass on there know but only because it does not match with the rest of the complex, especially since they have added gold trimming on top of the 3 story podium just below the hotel portion. That gold trimming and "blue" glass just doesn't mesh well. I like the goldish color in the rendering better if you ask me.

I've only seen one building that I ever liked gold glass on, and that's the almost-bronze tint of the Wynn in Las Vegas. Gold is really such a tacky color. I really like the cool, clean, and metallic blue-silver/blue-gray. It does look out of place on an MGM Mirage project, though. They seem to love gold glass.

The MGM project has that tawny colored facade which I think would be complimented well by gold glass. I personally think the blue makes it appear oversimplified and not as bold, thus not as noticeable, which is why people seem to complain about the tower in the first place. A reflective gold tower would stand out as a more recognizable volume and would appear more noticeable from the freeway. Right now, it just blends in with all of the other buildings.
