The plans are for Greektown in today's paper are different from what I've seen before. And I take it that MC won't be building a new casino, but rather expanding at its current site? Does anybody know anything about the casino progress?

The proposed permanent Greektown facility will include a small convention center, a 400-room hotel, a Mediterranean-themed gambling hall and up to four restaurants.

Greektown plans to build a $450 million permanent casino complex on a seven-acre site at Interstate 375 and Gratiot. The facility would include a 400-room hotel, Mediterranean-themed gambling hall, up to four restaurants, small convention center and 1,500-seat theater.

The two other casinos declined to provide updates on their permanent gaming facilities. MotorCity plans to build a 400-room hotel next to its current operation at the Lodge Freeway and Grand River. MGM Grand plans to build a gaming complex and 400-room hotel at Michigan and Third.
