Fall River Photo Thread

I have to be in Fall River for the next couple weeks for work, so I figured I'd take some pictures around the city while I was down there. The city has so much wasted potential, with a downtown that kind of reminds me of downtown Pawtucket with lots of empty storefronts yet some cool architecture that shows that the city once was fantastic.

Starting on South Main Street, some cool architecture:

City Hall, typical 1960's architecture. Fall River's City Hall is actually built over I-195, the first building in Massachusetts to utilize air rights over an interstate:

From the top of that ugly parking garage, as you can see, much of downtown is parking lots, though there are some newer office buildings visible in the distance:

Great pictures! I agree that Fall River has lots of potential to become a great city, given the investment. I've been meaning to make a photo trip up there myself one of these days.

I rented a car to go to the Cape tomorrow and was thinking if I had time I would stop in either NB or FR to take some photos, looks like I'll do NB since you've covered FR so well.
