Medical Hill - Tower 25

Now is it that i am dumb or is anyone else confused.

I see two buildings under construction now, and the old towers building in between. Is there going to be another TWO buildings to go up as you drive west down michigan street? I see room for another ONE ontop of the new parking garage built there. Somebody help!

You can now see parts of the facade going up. The white material on the southwest side and the glass on the southeast-east side. It looks very nice (though it is a very small section so far). It seems like the building will be very tranparent. Hurray!

Oh, so the facade is going up on the Michigan side of things? I thought he was remarking at the picture, which doesn't show any cladding on Tower 25, at all.

This is the quickest and easiest way to show it. Far left is Lemmen Holton Cancer Center, rising behind that is the Children's Hospital, next is the Towers Bldg to be demolished as JimInGR said and replaced with a building oriented the other way (East West instead of North South), then Tower 25 under construction, then MSU at the far right.

I thought the same thing too. I hope it is dirt resistant so it doesn't end up looking like 50 Monroe. Did you get a shot of the glass on the east side of the building?

Whew, that's a relief. My mind went immediately to EIFS when I saw that, and then to precast concrete.

Tower Crane is gone! From the location at which I was able to view the building , they had added beams to where the crane once stood, and were adding that metal floor they added to the rest of the building before pouring concrete over it.

looking back through the construction cam site, it looks like they took it down Saturday morning around 9am.

Now... if we can just rename the whole development "Medical Mile" instead of "Health Hill." I think Medical Mile has a nice cadence that the other lacks.

Yeah I don't know what it is with the name "pill hill" but it really turns me off...sounds sorta hillbilly-ish - but I guess if it's called Pill Hill we can call all the workers there pillbilly's
