Here's a shot of tower 2 from Michigan Street and Ottawa Ave. Health Hill is definitely going look huge when its all done.

Have any plans been released as to how that pedestrian bridge from Tower 2 is going to tie into the VAI?

I'm predicting the sky walk to VAI will be rather ordinary compared to the one that will connect to the new Children's hospital.

In answer to someone's question earlier about how this ties to VAI, in looking at this portion of the pedestrian bridge:

..it appears that it lines up perfectly with the second floor of the VAI, right above the North entrance stairwell:

It will probably be pretty staightforward (nothing fancy).

It is amazing how the first families are coordinating efforts and building a multi billion dollar health care fortress. I sit in awe.

There is no atrium in the building. It is there due to a construction issue. Nuff said.

I heard someone messed up a measurement pretty bad on one of the new buildings on Michigan. Perhaps this is it.

Looks like they're framing out some walls. Any idea what this building will be clad in? Precast, or something else?

Playing traffic engineer for the street closure:

Headed west, move the highway barricade a teensy bit north (towards the freeway) and away from the up-coming traffic lane. In its present locaiton, it's impossible to see oncoming traffic flying up the hill

SPEED LIMIT 25 MPH (both directions!)

Big-@$$ DO NOT ENTER sign on those barricades, along with YOU MUST TURN LEFT

The "sorry for the inconvenience" signage would seem to be appropriate here, too. Some years back, M-DOT caught all kinds of Federal flak for including (gasp!) smiley faces on the signs.

They wouldn't be putting up metal studs if it was going to be precast. Best case scenario (based on the renderings) is that its metal panel. Worst case would be EIFS.
