I'm predicting the sky walk to VAI will be rather ordinary compared to the one that will connect to the new Children's hospital.

Have any plans been released as to how that pedestrian bridge from Tower 2 is going to tie into the VAI?

My contributions for the week.

Looks like we're topped out on this one:

Lookin up the hill:

Pedestrian bridge tower (the gray steel in the background is Lemmen Holton):

Looks like there is a 6 story atrium running up the middle:

In answer to someone's question earlier about how this ties to VAI, in looking at this portion of the pedestrian bridge:

..it appears that it lines up perfectly with the second floor of the VAI, right above the North entrance stairwell:

It will probably be pretty staightforward (nothing fancy).

Playing traffic engineer for the street closure:

Headed west, move the highway barricade a teensy bit north (towards the freeway) and away from the up-coming traffic lane. In its present locaiton, it's impossible to see oncoming traffic flying up the hill

SPEED LIMIT 25 MPH (both directions!)

INJURE/KILL signage

Big-@$$ DO NOT ENTER sign on those barricades, along with YOU MUST TURN LEFT

The "sorry for the inconvenience" signage would seem to be appropriate here, too. Some years back, M-DOT caught all kinds of Federal flak for including (gasp!) smiley faces on the signs.

:( at the beginning of the construction zone

:{sodEmoji.{sodEmoji.|}} with "X more miles"

:) at END CONSTRUCTION

Thank you!
