Excellent photos. Houston certainly does not get the recognition that it deserves for being a real city. This is a great shot.

I've got to agree with you on that one. Houston, like Atlanta, Dallas, LA, and others get a lot of flak for being sprawlers and there are a lot of gems.

Nice pics!

Man! That is one great looking ballfield as are the shots of Houston's skyline. Does anyone know if the light rail line is within walking distance of that ballpark?

Yes it's in walking distance. If I'm not mistaken, it's either 4 or 5 blocks away.

Those were great shots. Houston's skyline is always photographed from either the north or northwest, blocking out the older gems of the city's CBD. Most of the photos of Houston can give the impression that the city only has modern buildings. It's just the modern buildings are so tall they block the shorter older ones unless the CBD is beings shown from the south or southeast like in the photos.

Great picture taking!

I figured I would bump this thread up with the All-Star game coming Monday.

BTW, the Rockets' Toyota Center (or as I like to call it, the House of Yao) is just on the other side of the Hilton hotel. You can see a part of the roof to the right of the hotel. However, you can't see the BIG Toyota logo they painted on the building's roof.
