Options on the table include closing the section to motorists entirely. Hello BAD IDEA.

I say repave and add bike lanes; environmental concerns be damned! (You have to every once in a while, right?)

Ooooh, this is going to be a tough one to debate. While it doesn't receive that much traffic, it is true that it is heavily traversed by cyclists and joggers. At times, it's very dangerous to drive on, especially in the winter, but very scenic and beautiful. I'd say just widen it a bit and add some guard rails and stuff. Maybe a bike path should exist on the other side of the guard rail instead of an actual lane for some added protection.

I don't see why they can't just strike a balance and possibly make it a "park drive." A two laned road with speed bumps, 15 mph speed limit and gates to keep traffic moving at a slow speed. They seem to work well in other cities.

Actually, the only things that never get accomplished in AA is deciding on what buildings meet the height limits and the lack of parking.
