Barnes/Steven Development looking at Keeler Brass on Godfrey

Apparently they're in negotiations with the Keeler factory building owners, but they are looking to purchase the property, lease it to industrial users for a while, and then possibly renovate it into mixed-use in the future as development spreads outside of downtown. There are a lot of interesting old factories there along Godfrey SW.

All along Godfrey screams redevelopment. You have beautiful brick buildings with zero setbacks and tree lined scapes in some parts. I can envision the modern streetcars back in this area with boutiques, apartments, gas lanterns, etc..
