Fire breaks out at vacant Book-Cadillac Hotel

Apparently the fire was only a pile of debris that caught on fire. Damage was minimal, as all of what was damaged must be removed anyway.

The question is: will this building be saved, or will it ultimately go the way of Hudsons, and so many other historic buildings?

Not that I know. Word is that it may become a Westin, but the deal is far from completed. They need to get the deal worked out before it's too late.
