huh, well I have to say this is one building that got better as they revised the design. I mean it in nothing special, but it will look better than I was expecting....of course te final product will truly determine if it is an okay design.

I've found that when they do these computerized renderings, the final product is usually very close to the design. It's the water colored ones you have to worry about, those can go either way....

the design really did progress. It's fun to see how much was borrowed/inspired from the neighboring building. I'm glad they did away with the, what I'll call, "watch tower," from the top rendering. What is that anyway? I'm willing to bet the windows don't actually open as most don't anymore. Too bad. I work in a stuffy building in Newport News and on a nice day I always want to open a window or two, but can't. False windows are weird. I'm glad my car windows still roll down.

When I was down in VB a few weeks ago, I didn't get to see much of this building's progress... Anyone feel like taking pictures?

On a side note, when does the Pilot move into the Westin and when does the current building come down and the new one start going up?

Columbus Two will be completed this Fall... Tower 2 at Virginian Pilot lot will break ground this Fall... 22 stories..

I wasn't able to take any pictures, but they are on a tear with this building. They've topped out, the majority of the exterior is finished, plus glass is being installed. Fall is a very realistic timeframe, I'm impressed!

Love the 'patios' on the ends. What a great idea for an office building.
