My sources tell me that after a huge run of residential lot creation, the number of subdivisions has drastically declined in the last few months. There are many builders that are holding expensive property and trying to wait out the downturn. Many new upper-end houses in Chattanooga are waiting on buyers. Take a ride through Hampton on the Lake or Seven Lakes in Ooltewah and see this in person.
