Well, if you head over to rapidgrowth, there's a video about Founders this week... My assignment was to cover mug club as a "third place" but I worked in a question about the new diggs.

Mike and Dave seemed pretty excited about being able to keep up with demand and the bigger taproom. As a bus rider, I'm looking forward to the new location, since north monroe is a pain to get to on the bus...

I really wished they would build the whole dock area out to the sidewalk.

The sidewalk - useless grass strip - parking lot - building, just seems a tad too suburban for the area.

I hope they put in some motorcycle/moped/bike parking. Our moped group meets there, and there are always bikes there. This location is nice but might suffer from being far from the loop and traffic that they are in now.

One of the few 50's style buildings that I really like. Hopefully they won't overdue it on the parking lot, and take away from the urban fabric.

I love the idea of Founder's, my favorite brewery, expanding like this, and I LOVE the design... it's too bad they are moving further away from me, though. I have my bike there-bike back-from Cheshire VIllage routine down pat, and any further distance will certainly cause a heart attack.

Any plans for any kind of biergarten???

I wonder how large they plan on expanding to barrels/day wise, if they're upgrading to digs this big.
