What they have is perfectly adequate.

Yeah I dunno why they would build a larger one. Why? And who will pay for that? Doesn't make sense.

I'm talking about the Cathedral and compared to other churches in the diocese St. Josephs is very ugly and out-dated. It's the diocese signature church and there are about five more that a far grander.

Dude......how often do you think churches get updated? They don't care about stuff like that. Especially Catholic churches.

You implied, why would the diocese not care about the bishops home church? It's out-dated and could use some work.

What they have is perfectly fine. They are not going to update it. They don't care about "updating it". They are not into that stuff. What is the confusion?

How do you know they don't care? Maybe not Muench but once Cleo or Walsh (assuming you know the main figures in this diocese) get in I assure the cathedral will receive some type of upgrade.

Cathedral isn't getting rebuilt or moved or anything. Cathedrals aren't like malls. Just the way it works is my point. That's my opinion. We will see if someone comes in and says "let's rebuild this to match the BR skyline". I'm guessing they won't. It's a adequate size for their existing congregation.
