I don't know how tall it will be, if it comes to fruition, but I do know it's supposed to be built on the property where Eldorado currently has its valet parking, between the Texas Street Bridge and Barnwell Center. That will mean that the casino will have 1 hotel tower just north of the bridge and one just south.

Pretty cool, I hope it happens. With this and the new city parking garage that's being constructed right across the street from this site, it will drastically add to the riverfront area's density. The only real open spaces down there now will be the large Sci-Port parking lot (also under consideration for parking garage construction) and Riverview Park.

Let's hope that happens, Brian. The El Dorado company seems very savvy in the casino industry and like visionaries for their property. I imagine this could well happen, or they wouldn't have made a public statement about a new tower. A new tower could also rekindle interest in the local gaming market. I hope Harrah's read that article and thought about their Horseshoe property.

well theres not much space at all there.. soooo maybe it will have to go up :) I wish! would be cool if it could be half as wide and twice as tall as the current hotel.. I think the same thing every morning going to work about the Hilton at the convention center.. it looks like two towers merged together...
