The story behind the building is quite interesting. I do have to agree with Marc though - the tower is a bit on the bland side.

I was in Minneapolis about 3 years ago, and there's nothing special about this building's "Crystal Court". It's dark with a few ordinary trees and a handful of seats. It has MAYBE a couple dozen shops/restaurants. It's not the kind of place you'd spend more than 10 minutes really.

i think its bright an airey, perfect for the winter day. it is special.

There was a time when I thought of Charlotte as a baby Minneapolis, with its skyway system and the skyline punctuated by a single, tall, blue-glass tower.
