Sorry, no go for me. Easter weekend and although I am not religious in the least, I am going to spend the 3 day weekend, Friday-Sunday, with family and a little R&R.

I have only been able to make one mini meet and that was in East Nashville. I missed the one in Germantown, and will miss this one. I also missed the last regular meet due to illness, and will probably miss the May regular meet.

Taking a break from the meets for awhile. I will probably step aside from posting on the forum as well for a needed break.

Have a great time, and I will see you sometime in the  future.

Remember, our regular meets are the first Saturday of the month at Provence in the downtown library @ 10. We don't usually get started till 10:30, because everyone is a chronic over sleeper but me.

Had a fair turnout today.

John and Barbara was able to show, as well as Jeff, Kevin, Bob, William, and myself.

Now I'm really sorry that I missed this one!

I helped out Greenwood, the neighborhood adjacent to mine, with their litter pick-up project.  There were only 5 of us, but we filled up the back of a pick-up truck with bags full of garbage in just 2 hours.  They really needed help over there.

I'll try to make the next mini-meet if I can.  See you guys on May 3rd for the regular meet.

It was quite a nice visit. I had not planned on going, but we decided to go. I wanted to check out what was new in Forks Drum Closet over there anyway. We ate the gourmet Mexican place, Del Sol. It was far and above the best Mexican in Nashville besides Loco Taco which I cannot wait for going up on Fatherland.

John, Have you tried Loredo Cantina in the Gulch. I was pleased with the food there as well.

Cantina Laredo is nice but also fairly expensive and also quite corporate "upscale fast casual," whatever that means. I stopped there one time and decided that Cantina Laredo is the P.F. Chiang's of Mexican cuisine.  Having a server prepare a flight of three salsas at the table was a nice touch, but again, drew comparisons in my mind to P.F. Chiang's on West End.  The food was good, though.

Their pricing may be better during happy hour or something like that.  I may have just missed the lunch specials that particular day.

But it just reminded me that I am pretty well out of place in the Gulch outside of The Station Inn.

Forum meet this Saturday at Provence in the library. 10:00 for those who get up early, 10:30 for those of us who are  fashionably late.

All are welcome. We encourage newcomers to attend. We don't bite, and we are all good friends. Come and join us.

I should be there unless something comes up.
