Oberlin Townhomes

The site plan for Oberlin Townhomes (SP-043-07 - .pdf) was submitted to the City last week. It appears the run-down ?apartments? across from Daniels Middle School will be replaced by 17 townhouses ranging from 2,813 sq feet to 3,589 feet. If they go for, say $250/ft (which may slightly be low-balling it), they'd go for about $700K to $900K.

It appears that each has a detached garage in the back accessible by an ally. The Oberlin streetscape has the potential to look like row houses, however the terrain is elevated, so pedestrians will get a retaining wall. IIRC that wall will be taller than pedestrian height.

These are going to be pretty big units. IMO, I wonder if people who can afford a $800K unit want it to be a skinny condo with windows on the front and back only. For reference, these units near Wake Forest Rd Snoopy's are 1,700 sq feet:
