I really like this project.

because it is in Millennia, I am confident that it will get built. but, being that Baldwin, Veranda, Uptown Altamonte, et al have all been under development for the past few years, it just seems unlikely they would do another town center deal. this place is truly like SIM City.

im a big fan of this one.....if only we could pull all these town projects together into one mega town project.....ahhh wouldnt that be nice

hmmm is the fact there are so many town center projects going up indicate that people are starting to adapt and prefer more of the urban style of living?

I have been told by a real estate broker that the Gardens at Millenia will break ground within 90 days. Now I'm a little skeptical since I just read in the OBJ that most town centers which includes Winter Springs, Altamonte are placed on hold until the real estate market improves. Maybe they will focus on the retail, apartments and condo hotel first before progressing with the condo/townhomes? I'm really excited about this project once it gets off the ground. Anyone else heard any rumors?

the meat of the Gardens is retail etc... retail is strong right now. the OBJ is prob. focusing mainly on residential in those markets (Alt-- Emerson and those nice ones right at the TC. The Gardens could break ground by 2008; I can see that-- if they have tenants signed.

Uptown Altamonte is not on hold it is doing great and is currently building even more retail. Some of the planned condo's there are on hold, just like everywhere else. Read the OBJ article again. It pretty much said all the town centers are slow or on hold with the exception being Altamonte Springs. One condo project is currently on hold and being redisgned to eventually include even more condo's, albeit smaller condo's, when the market recovers.

The bad thing here is that the Expo, Home Depot, Bed...all have their loading zone facing the entire development. I hope they will improve this somehow. Second thing is that, the traffic will be a nightmare, we need lightrail access, or at least build a local system that run from The Garden all the way down to Convention Centre, joining, Garden, Mall of Millenia, Outlet, Festival Bay...

Well I'm starting to get worried. I just drove by the site and they took the banner down. This either means they are going to start construction or it fell through. I hope it gets built since I just purchased one of the Millennium Parc townhouses in hopes of this major development. Does anyone have any information about this project? The last time I heard they were supposed to break ground in 90 days right after christmas.

That is the second time banners have gone up and then come down. The webpage for LeRoyal INC http://www.leroyalusa.com/ Still shows it coming late 2008. I also own and live in Millennium parc.

So far it's great, After the condo project on Millenia and Oakridge went to Apartments we finely sold out and the last buildings here are being completed, It will be really nice once the construction is Done. Can't wait for the Gardens to come on line!

I spoke with the company and the reason why they had to remove the banner was from people complaining about how large the banners were. The banner was over the required size and had to be removed. Whatever. All I care is the project is still going to happen. Jasonkid, how do you enoying living there?

I was one of the unlucky ones to put money down on the Fountains at Millenia when they turned back into apartments. Got out of that deal very quickly and secured a spot at the Parc. We move in February or March.

The new renderings are a lot better than before. I don't think this is the right location for a project like this. The area has enough crime to give the millenia mall trouble, imagine what that movie theater would be like on a friday or saturday night. Lake nona deserves something like this and could get the money they are going to be asking for the condos.

The blockbuster buildings remind me of the newer midrises in Coral Gables.

I find this "interesting":

Prohibited Uses. The following uses shall be prohibited:

a. Residential Care Facilities;

b. Treatment/Recovery Facilities;

c. Drive-In Facilities (Conditional Use Permit required)

d. Personal Storage Facilities;

e. Tattoo, body art or body piercing establishments;

f. Fortune telling, tarot card reading, palm reading and psychic services establishments;

g. Check cashing facilities (facilities which deal primarily in the issuance of cash advances based upon receipt of future wages, commonly known as "payday loans" or "payday advances.");

h. Temporary Labor Facilities;

i. Whole Blood Facilities;

j. Wholesale/Warehouse;

This sounds like Glenda Hood's plan to revitalize downtown Orlando in the 90s.

i hear this is supposed to have the fanciest movie theatre in orlando by muvico and a water fountain like the belagio.

I'm hoping your right. I wouldn't mind paying a few dollars more to see a movie if I know the place won't be packed with unruly screaming teenagers. I refused to go into City Walk for a movie anymore just because of that fact; That theater has gone downhill.
