Colorado Springs Mayor Lionel Rivera delivered his State of the City Address yesterday. Interestingly... he never did say what the state of the city is. He did lash out at Pueblo County DA Bill Thiebaut, who is suing the city over sewage spills into Fountain Creek... and El Paso County Commissioner Douglas Bruce who... is constantly butting heads with the city.

Most importantly for our purposes, Rivera noted that while suburban area's of Colorado Springs are thriving... the citys core is struggling... and he promises a renewed focus from city council on Downtown revitalization. A focus that hasn't been there in the past.
