Subtitle for Statesboro section

5 posts in this topic

What do you want the subtitle for the Statesboro seciton to be?

Savannah has "The Hostess City"

Augusta has "The Garden City"

Most forums use the city's nickname, but you are free to do whatever you want ( a slogan is another common occurance)

I made a short mention of this in the "Welcome to the Statesboro Forum" thread. I mentioned that I had heard "The 'Boro".

Another poster (andremurra) recommended "The Tourist City" and "The Tree City". He said he liked "The Tourist City". There's more info on how Statesboro acquired those names in this post in the Welcome thread.

So any opinions on those selections? Anyone have another nickname/slogan to toss out.

Here are a few third party sources concerning how Statesboro came to be known as "The Tourist City" - some of these are quite interesting btw.

So, I'm guessing we can call it "The Tourist City", then?

Any objections? Anyone agree?
